A website for accountants, aimed at the clients who suit you

An accounting client often stays for many years. So the website is not about getting as many enquiries as possible, but the right ones: clients in industries you know, of a size you are good at, using systems you work in.

From NOK 1,490/month excl. VAT. Fixed price, invoiced monthly.

Being clear is a selling point

Most accounting websites say roughly the same thing: "We take care of the accounts, so you can focus on what you do best." It is true, but it does not make it any easier for a managing director to choose between you and the firm in the next town.

What helps is being specific. Which industries do you have many clients in? Do you mostly work with sole traders or limited companies with staff? Which accounting systems do you use? How do you price, a fixed monthly fee or by the hour? Who will be the client's contact? The answers filter out those who do not fit, and make it easier for the rest to get in touch.

What the site should show

The services, specifically

Bookkeeping, payroll, VAT returns, year-end accounts, advice. With a sentence on what is included.

Who you suit

Industries, size and company type. It is fine to say who you do not take on.

The systems

Tripletex, Fiken, PowerOffice, Visma or others. Many clients have already chosen a system.

Authorisation

That the firm is authorised, and that it can be checked in the Financial Supervisory Authority's register. It is a real mark of quality.

The people

Name, photo, email and direct line. Clients want to know who they will get.

Pricing model

Not necessarily figures, but how you price. A fixed monthly fee is easier to say yes to than an hourly rate.

What you do not need

A client portal with login and document upload sounds tempting, but the accounting systems you use already have one, and do it better than a website can. We link to it instead. The same goes for forms where clients send in receipts: that belongs in the system, not on the website.

What you get from us is a tidy site that explains who you are, is kept up to date and sits somewhere safe. It asks nothing of you day to day, and we make the changes when you hire someone new or change your services.

Questions and answers

How much does a website for an accountant cost?

From NOK 1,490 a month excl. VAT, with no setup fee. The final price depends on how much the site needs to contain, and is agreed before we start.

Can you build a client portal with document upload?

We do not recommend it. The accounting systems already have that, and it is safer to keep receipts and documents there. We link to the login of the system you use.

How quickly can we update the staff list?

Email us the name, photo and contact details and we put it up. It is an ordinary change and included in the monthly price.

Who owns the website?

You own the content and the domain. We own the source code and run the site for as long as the agreement lasts. There is no lock-in.

Want to see what we would make for your firm?

Register the business and we will get in touch. We build the site, you look at it, and nothing is invoiced until you approve it. From NOK 1,490/month excl. VAT.
